Misako Ballet Company presents 'Perspectives"
Misako Ballet Company celebrates their 10th Anniversary by presenting "Perspectives," a concert that features a selection of favorites dances, international guest artists, and the premier of the one act story ballet "Celestial Maidens," choreographed by Misako Aoki.

"Celestial Maidens" is based on a Japanese folktale about maidens who descend to Earth from the Celestial Palace.  They take off their beautiful robes to play in the water.  A fisherman discovers the robes and takes them away.   The maidens, who cannot return to the Celestial Palace without their robes, bargain with him and agree to dance in exchange for the return of the robes.  Soprano Singer Eriko Tokura Murray will lend her voice to accompany the ballet.

The program will also include "Water Flow," a beautiful exploration of fluid movement created by 3PerformersJapan, choreographed and danced by Japanese Artist Fumihito Shimizu.

Selections from Pas de Quatre, Sleeping Beauty, and other ballets will also be performed by the company.

This concert should appeal to dance fans of all ages.
